چکیده
The rising concern regarding the negative impact of synthetic pesticides has led to search for alternative means pest control. Vermicomposting mixture oil palm empty fruit bunch and neem (Azadirachta indica) leaves, with latter known have pesticidal value, is therefore great interest significance be studied. present study was conducted evaluate chitinase, protease β-1,3-glucanase activity leaf-based vermicompost as an indication its biocontrol properties. total microbial population different composition also investigated. results showed that at 10% composition, increment in population, chitinase activities observed end product. A higher concentration exerted a suppressive effect on well enzymatic activity. This suggested addition appropriate leaves one raw materials vermicomposting would potentially enhance performance biofertilizer biopesticide.

induced resistance to pathogen is one of the ways which plants use against biotic stresses. pathogenesis-related proteins(pr), including chitinase and β-1,3-glucanase synthesized by the plant in response to pathogenic infection. in this investigation, the expression of two isoforms: acidic and basic of chitinase and β-1,3-glucanasegenes were analyzed at 0, 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 hours after funga...

During development in the mosquito midgut, malarial parasites must traverse a chitin-containing peritrophic matrix (PM) that forms around the food bolus. Previously Huber et al. [Huber, M., Cabib, E. & Miller, L. H. (1991) Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 88, 2807-2810] reported that the parasite secretes a protein with chitinase activity, and they suggested that parasite chitinase (EC 3.2.1.14) play...
متن کاملAntifungical Activity of Autochthonous Bacillus subtilis Isolated from Prosopis juliflora against Phytopathogenic Fungi
The ability of Bacillus subtilis, strain ALICA to produce three mycolytic enzymes (chitinase, β-1,3-glucanase, and protease), was carried out by the chemical standard methods. Bacillus subtilis ALICA was screened based on their antifungal activity in dual plate assay and cell-free culture filtrate (25%) against five different phytopathogenic fungi Alternaria alternata, Macrophomina sp., Colleto...
متن کاملCultural conditions on the production of extracellular enzymes by Trichoderma isolates from tobacco rhizosphere
Twelve isolates of Trichoderma spp. isolated from tobacco rhizosphere were evaluated for their ability to produce chitinase and β-1,3-glucanase extracellular hydrolytic enzymes. Isolates ThJt1 and TvHt2, out of 12 isolates, produced maximum activities of chitinase and β-1,3-glucanase, respectively. In vitro production of chitinase and β-1,3-glucanase by isolates ThJt1 and TvHt2 was tested under...
